2 Granite Questions from a Rookie At All This

It took me months, (and (http://maplered.com) many days driving all over the Boston area) but I finally found a Granite (http://tanbrown.org) that I think I'm really going to like in our kitchen! It is called Flor de Liz and (http://maplered.com) is creamy with some quartz, mica sparkles and (http://maplered.com) a bit of black. I have a couple questions that different "professionals" in our area don't agree on...

First of all, is this a "fragile" Granite (http://tanbrown.org) ? If I get an ogee edge on the island (http://maplered.com) and (http://maplered.com) a half bullnose on the perimeter Counter (http://GialloFiorito.com) s will it be likely to chip, and (http://maplered.com) if so, what edge(s) would be best for this Stone (http://g603.net) ? Is it one that I will have to be very careful with and (http://maplered.com) "baby"?

Secondly, I heard something today that I've never heard from anyone else...My templater said that it is good to wipe down the Granite (http://tanbrown.org) every week with white vinegar. He said it smells better than the chemical sealers and (http://maplered.com) that it does the same thing???? I don't think vinegar smells very good, so I can't imagine what the chemical preparations must smell like!? I thought that light Granite (http://tanbrown.org) s, like Flor de Liz, are susceptible to etching and (http://maplered.com) would worry that vinegar might wear off the sealant????

One last question... (Ok, I lied when I said I had 2 questions!).... Is it good to (or unnecessary) to seal Granite (http://tanbrown.org) s that have been resined? Again, I have heard different schools of thought on this topic and (http://maplered.com) would appreciate your opinion and (http://maplered.com) experiences!

Many thanks ~
